The SM Supermalls recently showcased the “Zambales and Tarlac Food and Adventure BESTival” at the SM Olongapo Central mall, giving a glimpse of the best of the two provinces when it comes to tourism.
The highlight of the event is a 10-foot-by-16-foot pizza infused with Zambales’ most famous produce – the mango, which produces a sweet and delectable flavor that some people say is better than pineapple for pizza.
The SM Supermalls campaign combines the best of North and Central Luzon, showcasing all the food, go-to places, and activities that a tourist can indulge in while in Zambales and Tarlac.
An SM media officer said that in order to capture the “best” in the campaign, the company will be conducting the Local Frolic segment of the BESTival event. These include an exhibition of festival street dancers and unveiling of the giant featured food.
The mango pizza was baked and prepared by HRM students from the Lyceum of Subic Bay and the Gordon College.
Meanwhile, the Zambaleño Dinamulag Festival Dancers from Masinloc and San Felipe wowed the crowd with their beautiful dance presentation.
The SM City Olongapo Downtown also showed recipes infused with mango with a modern twist. While the Pase Ballo dance group of the Gordon College opened the program with the “Sibit-Sibit” dance number.
