The Britain in South East Asia (BiSEA) Members joined the Business Reception for ASEAN Business Advisory Council (BAC) on May 15, 2023, in Armourers’ Hall, 81 Coleman St. London, UK.
British Chamber of Commerce Philippines Executive Director/Trustee Chris Nelson and other British Chambers of Commerce representatives in the region were participated by Chief Executive Officer Peter Crowhurst from Myanmar and Executive Director from British Chamber Indonesia, Chris Wren.
The event featured business leaders and distinguished speakers from Indonesia, Southeast Asia, and the UK to foster bilateral partnerships within the ASEAN region – with over 100 people in attendance.
Focusing on the core values of centrality, innovation and inclusiveness, a few keynote speakers include Mr. Arsjad Rasjid – Chair of ASEAN BAC 2023, Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) and Richard Graham MP, Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and ASEAN. With BiSEA representatives, this event gives a strong business network to British Chambers’ members and their benefits. It can also provide exporters by covering key markets through trade and business services and market visits within the region.
Members of the local business groups and industry also attended the event including Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) President George Barcelon and Asia Brewery, Inc. President Michael Tan.
Indeed, the BAC event in the UK will help improve key priorities of ASEAN-BAC and reinforce the relationship within the Southeast Asian region, through BiSEA’s active participation from its Member Countries.
