This is the way Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation’s (RCBC) mass-market super app DiskarTech is encouraging its over three million registered users to take up the good habit of saving.

Each transaction has a corresponding limit of qualified transactions per day.

“As the first Taglish and Cebuano financial inclusion super app in the country, DiskarTech with its products, promos and programs, remains steadfast in helping Filipinos attain their financial goals especially those who live in the countryside. An important step to this is to aid them in fostering good financial habits like saving and investing,” said Lito Villanueva, Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation and Inclusion Officer of RCBC.

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has also long expressed its support to financial institutions offering digital innovations for mobilizing savings especially among the underserved populations.

“The goals of a stronger and more technologically advanced economy become meaningful if these translate to faster poverty reduction. We want all Filipinos to benefit from the fruits of development and technological innovation. If the poor are able to access credit, savings, and investment instruments, their chances of getting out of poverty will increase,” said BSP Governor Benjamin Diokno.

Free telemedicine service for vaccinated Filipinos

Meanwhile, DiskarTech also encourages its registered users to get vaccinated through its Telemediwow.

Qualified DiskarTech users who have been fully vaccinated, and who have purchased the app’s 50-peso telemedicine service for the first time can get a 50-peso rebate which will be credited to the users DiskarTech account every Friday of the promo period.

To qualify, DiskarTech users must only submit a copy of their vaccine ID or certificate and telemedicine purchase receipt to DiskarTech’s official Facebook Messenger account for verification.

Recently, DiskarTech in partnership with ICT service provider RuralNet, also launched its ‘pakisuyo’ telemedicine services that aim to make medical consultation reach more Filipinos from underserved and geographically isolated areas especially during the pandemic.

This specific ‘pakisuyo’ service features a sachet-type telemedicine plan for as low as Php 50 per person for a month. This includes unlimited medical consultation with no additional fees for video, audio, or text-based interaction, complete with follow up services like electronic prescriptions, laboratory requests, and medical certificates. The ‘pakisuyo’ feature also allows the primary subscriber to the plan to avail of the service “on behalf of” another friend or family member.

“DiskarTech has always been for inclusive digital finance, bridging the gap in the so-called digital divide. This also means no one should get left behind when it comes to financial transactions concerning one’s health, especially during a health crisis,” Villanueva added.
