Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation’s (RCBC) DiskarTech together with social ecommerce platform Resellee join forces in providing sustainable online livelihood to over 18 million unemployed Filipinos, and micro Small Medium Enterprises (mSMEs) affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a recent Social Weather Survey (SWS), it was revealed that 36% of adult Filipinos believe their quality of lives will worsen over the next 12 months, the second worst level of pessimism, surpassing the previous record of 34% way back in 2005.

SEALING THE DEAL in a Virtual Ceremony of RCBC’s partnership with Reselle that aims at providing sustainable online livelihood to unemployed Filipinos.

“With the increasing unemployment rate in the country, people are beginning to lose hope and this needs an immediate intervention. Through this partnership we can help our fellow Filipinos who lost their jobs and livelihood due to the pandemic by providing them with new opportunities to earn,” said RCBC Executive Vice President and Chief Innovation and Inclusion officer Lito Villanueva.

Digital and online services have provided a ray of hope in these trying times.  These services served as a lifeline for many this pandemic with  businesses that embraced digital solutions thriving during this time.  By providing every enterprising Filipino with the proper digital tools, they will not be left behind by their more digital-savvy and bigger competitors.

Diskartech, the first Taglish financial inclusion super app in the country that offers digital financial services like bills payment, cash in, cash withdrawal, airtime and gaming e-load, fund transfers, and insurance, among others, has partnered with Resellee to provide additional online livelihood to Filipinos.

Through this partnership, Filipinos will soon be able to earn commissions by marketing and selling essential and non-essential products in the DiskarTech app through Resellee

“Resellee offers the cheapest vegetables in Metro Manila so we are sure that our members can easily market and sell our products in their own social media accounts and networks,” said Marc Concio, Resellee’s chief executive officer.

Aside from the earnings from Resellee, this partnership will also provide additional income to its sellers through performing financial transactions on behalf of their customers called “paki-suyo” services using the DiskarTech digital app.

“I have been working with a lot of mSMEs during the pandemic and I saw their struggles. This kind of partnership is an answer to the challenges of millions of Filipinos during this crisis,” said Jason Dela Rosa, Resellee’s Chief Commercial Officer and Executive Director.

Meanwhile, Resellee’s Chief Technology Officer and Executive Director Aaron Madolora shared that in this time where hope among Filipinos starts to fade, this effort is the right intervention to empower them once again to work, earn and move forward.

DiskarTech recently made history as the fastest local finance app to reach two million downloads just two months from its launch. It continuously widens its reach servicing millions of Filipinos particularly from the underserved and unbanked sector of the country.
