Ford Philippines launched recently the new Ford Everest, upping the ante from its predecessor in terms of capability, safety, and efficiency with upgrades made on its engine, transmission, and driver-assist capabilities for an extraordinary ride.

“Given its track record in the Philippines, we are confident that the new Ford Everest will give Filipino customers a ride no less than extraordinary,” Ford Philippines Managing Director PK Umashankar said at the launch last August 9 at the Megatent Events Venue, Libis, Quezon City.

The new Ford Everest now runs on the new-generation 2.0L Bi-Turbo diesel engine which has 10-speed automatic transmission and packs 213PS and 500NM of torque, further raising the bar when it comes to vehicle refinement.

Ryan Lorenzo, Ford Philippines marketing director, said the new Everest is designed with greater capability, enhanced safety, and improved efficiency. “With Ford’s heritage and global expertise in designing class-leading SUVs, we are confident that customers will see and experience the way we designed it,” Lorenzo said.

Umashankar said the new Ford Everest is building on its position as a leader in the smartest and safest SUVs department so it features a Pre-Collision Assist to help prevent accidents.

Also, its 4WD Terrain Management System is activated to provide maximum traction and stability and stay in control in different on and off-road situations, whether mud, sand and the like.

When it comes to driver-assist technology, the new Ford Everest brings in smart keyless entry and push-button start which is now the staple in the new Everest lineup. The hands-free liftgate, meanwhile, will automatically open and close if the driver’s hands are full and a simple kick to the rear bumper will initiate the feature.

The Active Park Assist is also present to help drivers with parallel parking hands-off, while only controlling the gears, accelerator, and the brake.

Other notable features of the vehicle include its Active Noise Cancellation for cabin sound insulation, a Panoramic Moonroof for natural lighting, and a newer grille treatment that flaunt its rugged design.

The new Everest is already available in Metro Manila and comes in two variants; the Everest 2.0L Bi-Turbo Titanium+ 4×4 AT which is priced at P2,229,000 and the Everest 2.0L Turbo Titanium 4×2 AT that retails at P1,995,000. Both comes in six color variations; Absolute Black, Aluminum Metallic, Arctic White, Meteor Gray, and Sunset Red.
