For generations, Easter has been a time for families to gather around the table, embracing meaningful traditions and creating memorable meals. This year, Hotel Okura Manila brings that spirit to life with Pastels & Play, an Easter Sunday lunch at Yawaragi, where refined cuisine, soft pastel tones, and subtle Sakura-inspired touches merge in a setting designed for both parents and children.

On April 5, 2026, Yawaragi will transform into a vibrant seasonal dining destination, capturing the playful essence of Easter while maintaining the Japanese elegance that defines Hotel Okura Manila.

“This year’s Easter celebration at Yawaragi, Pastels & Play, was thoughtfully designed to bring families together in a setting that reflects both joy and refinement,” said Jan Marshall, General Manager of Hotel Okura Manila.

“We wanted to create an experience where guests can enjoy exceptional cuisine while sharing meaningful moments with their loved ones.”

A Culinary Journey in Pastels

At the heart of Pastels & Play is a themed buffet inspired by Easter’s colors and flavors. Guests of all ages can indulge in a curated culinary experience, starting with the Sashimi Live Station, featuring sustainably sourced whole Yellowfin tuna and sashimi-grade salmon.

The Pasta Station offers à la minute creations, including Chef Margareth Projimo’s Shrimp and Vegetable Pasta and Chef Katrina Paran’s Stracciatella Pasta, each delivering fresh flavors and delicate textures.

Seafood lovers will delight in the Seafood on Ice Station, featuring prawns and New Zealand mussels, while the Robatayaki Counter presents grilled selections cooked over an open flame.

Hot dishes by Chef Rexander Aspiras showcase bold, refined flavors, from Braised Lamb Riblet in Cajun Lamb Jus to Chicken Roulade, complemented by the Carving Station offering herbed roasted Australian Wagyu chuck eye roll MB4–5 with Dijon accents.

For a playful, whimsical finale, Chef Vi Serrano reinvents a Filipino favorite with Ginataang Halo-halo V2, encased in a chocolate eggshell and finished with warm coconut milk—a sweet surprise for children and adults alike.

The celebration at Yawaragi extends beyond the table. Guests can enjoy roving mime and balloon-making performances, while children engage in face painting, origami, and cupcake decorating in a semi-private dining area.

Interactive touches include a Make-Your-Own Ice Cream station, a cotton candy cart, and handcrafted cake pops served by Senior Pastry Chef Vi Serrano. Exclusive Easter-themed loot bags with special surprises await early reservations.
