The Philippine Competition Commission (PCC) has successfully maintained its ISO 9001:2015 certification following the completion of the first surveillance audit under its third certification cycle. Conducted on October 1, 2025, by TÜV Rheinland Philippines, Inc., the audit reaffirmed the Commission’s adherence to international standards for quality management.

The audit validated PCC’s effective implementation of its Quality Management System (QMS) across its core service areas, including competition policy formulation and regulatory enforcement under the Philippine Competition Act, competition policy research, advocacy and capacity-building services, and information and communications technology (ICT) services. TÜV Rheinland further confirmed that the PCC continues to uphold the principles of ISO 9001:2015, particularly those emphasizing risk-based thinking, process efficiency, and data-driven decision-making.

This achievement marks another significant milestone for the Commission, which first obtained ISO certification in 2018, only a few years after its establishment. Since then, the PCC has consistently passed surveillance and scope extension audits, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to quality and operational excellence. Over the years, the Commission has also introduced continuous improvements to its client feedback mechanisms, risk and opportunity registers, and readiness initiatives for the Philippine Quality Award, alongside process enhancements completed in 2022.

With the successful completion of this latest audit, PCC’s certification remains valid until November 20, 2027, underscoring its steadfast dedication to maintaining world-class standards in public service. The Commission continues to strengthen its internal systems to ensure they remain efficient, responsive, and strategically aligned with its organizational objectives—further reinforcing its role in promoting fair and competitive markets in the Philippines.
