AirAsia once again proved its dominance at the World Travel Awards Asia & Oceania 2025 in Hong Kong, earning two major honors: Asia’s Leading Low-Cost Airline for the 13th straight year and Asia’s Leading Low-Cost Airline Cabin Crew for the ninth consecutive year.

The recognition highlights AirAsia’s continued excellence in service and innovation, backed by the trust of millions of travelers across Asia and beyond. Since its founding, the airline has flown close to one billion guests and now connects more than 130 destinations across Asia, Australia, and beyond.

Looking ahead, AirAsia plans to expand into the Middle East and Central Asia, part of its ambition to become the world’s leading low-cost network carrier.

Through its AirAsia MOVE app, the airline continues to simplify travel with features like self-check-in, contactless boarding, and the new Auto Visa Check, offering guests a seamless, digital-first experience from booking to boarding.

“This recognition belongs to our guests and over 21,000 Allstars from 58 nationalities,” said Bo Lingam, Group CEO of AirAsia Aviation Group. “Together, we’ve built not just an airline, but a movement that makes travel accessible for everyone. Our spirit of inclusivity, innovation, and care continues to define us.”

Suhaila Hassan, AirAsia Group Head of Cabin Crew, added, “Our cabin crew are our greatest ambassadors. Their passion, energy, and care make every journey special — this win is truly theirs.”

World Travel Awards Founder Graham E. Cooke congratulated the airline for its “outstanding double win,” recognizing AirAsia’s consistent commitment to service excellence.

Now in its 32nd year, the World Travel Awards continues to set the benchmark for excellence in global tourism. AirAsia’s latest double victory reaffirms its leadership in shaping the future of low-cost travel — combining innovation, connectivity, and customer care to bring more people closer to their dream destinations.
