The Manuel V. Pangilinan-led Manila Electric Company (Meralco), together with its social development arm One Meralco Foundation (OMF), has successfully energized 169 households across six barangays in Novaliches, Quezon City.
Through OMF’s Household Electrification Program, residents now enjoy safe and reliable access to electricity—an essential step toward improving their quality of life.
The milestone was celebrated through a lighting ceremony attended by Meralco and community leaders. Among those present were Meralco Valenzuela Sector-Logistics Team Lead John Paul D. Bunag, Meralco Valenzuela Sector Manager Abraham Eñeres, Meralco Head of North Distribution Services Sante Buella, and Meralco Head of Home & Micro North Business Area Alleni O. Pascual. They were joined by Quezon City District 5 Action Officer William Bawag, Senior Citizen Partylist Representative Cong. Rodolfo “Ompong” Ordanes, OMF President and Meralco Chief CSR Officer Jeffrey O. Tarayao, and Quezon City 5th District Representative Cong. Patrick Michael Vargas. Also in attendance were Barangay Nova Proper Captain Asuncion Visaya, Meralco Vice President and Head of Corporate Communications Joe Zaldarriaga, Meralco Novaliches Business Center Head Corazon Pilapil, Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon Captain Sonny Dela Cruz, and OMF CSR Program Manager Michael del Rosario.
The residents expressed their joy and gratitude, sharing that this initiative opens doors to greater opportunities for their families and community.
