In its continuing commitment to advance energy innovation, sustainability and collaboration, Manuel V. Pangilinan-led Meralco Power Academy (MPA) is once again bringing over 30 local and international experts and industry leaders together for Giga Summit 2025: The Fusion of Power and Intelligence.
Building on its groundbreaking launch in 2023, this year’s Giga Summit will explore latest industry developments in light of the growing influence of artificial intelligence and nuclear power and its potential to drive a more resilient and future-ready power sector.
Scheduled for April 24 to 25 at The Fifth at Rockwell in Makati City, the event will serve as a platform to drive key conversations on sustainable solutions that will propel the industry toward long-term growth.
The Sustainable Power Supply discussions on the first day will feature dialogues on renewable energy sources, including nuclear power and its potential role in securing the country’s future power needs. Keynote sessions on “Trailblazers: The Global Giants of Sustainable Power” will be led by MGEN Renewable Energy Inc. (MGreen), Electricité de France, Mitsubishi Power, and Actis; while “The Case for Nuclear-Powered Future” session will be facilitated by the International Atomic Energy Agency. Experts from Canada, France, South Korea, Japan, and US will join the energy dialogue on “Nuclear Power, the Operator’s Perspective”.
The second day will focus on Power Grid Disruptors, featuring discussions on distributed energy resources, virtual power plants, and battery energy storage systems. Industry leaders from Meralco, Huawei, Microsoft, and global energy organizations will explore crisis leadership, AI-driven grid transformation, and the future of the Philippine power industry. The event will conclude with insights into pioneering AI-powered grids and strategies for building a future-proof distribution network.
