GAS UP!
There is no stopping this as big-time price increase in petroleum products will take effect on Tuesday, October 2 ar 6AM and this is the eighth consecutive week of price increases.
Shell Petroleum Corp., SEAOIL Philippines Inc., Chevron Philippines Inc. and Flying V, Petron Corp., will increase prices per liter of diesel by P1.35, gasoline by P1, and kerosene by P1.10.
While TOTAL Philippines Inc.,Phoenix Petroleum, Eastern Petroleum Corp., Petro Gazz, P PTT Petroleum Philippines Inc., and Unioil Petroleum will implement the same changes, excluding on kerosene.
So far, the other oil company players have not yet announced any changes on their pump price. Last week, the gasoline prices increased by P0.40, diesel by P0.20, and kerosene by P0.10.
Based on the latest data given by the Department of Energy, the gasoline prices in the country currently range from P51.55 to P65.35, diesel from P44.30 to P53.55, and kerosene from P48.72 to P58.85.
This is the most expensive price of gas that the Philippines has ever recorded. In Romblon, the Department of Energy is looking at the alleged jacked up price of P70 per liter.
