Hotel101 proudly announces the successful issuance of the third batch of Spain Golden Visas to unit owners of Hotel101-Madrid.
In a news release, Hotel101 said this marks a significant milestone in its global expansion, showcasing the brand’s alignment with Spain’s Golden Visa investment requirements and its innovative asset-light business model.
The Spain Golden Visa, or Investor Visa, grants residence to non-European citizens who make substantial investments in Spain, such as purchasing real estate worth €500,000.
Hotel101-Madrid unit owners qualify by purchasing three units, meeting the visa’s criteria while benefiting from an investment that avoids the challenges of maintaining residential properties abroad.
The unique Hotel101 model features standardized units, dynamic pricing through its global app, and a dual-revenue stream from pre-selling units and recurring hotel operations.
This model has proven to be a seamless solution for investors and host countries alike. Unlike traditional real estate, it does not impact local housing inventories, making it a sustainable option for Golden Visa programs.
With these initial Golden Visa batches successfully issued, subsequent releases are expected to accelerate, boosting investor confidence and driving international demand for Hotel101 units.
This development is anticipated to contribute significantly to Hotel101 Global’s projected $471 million (P27.2 billion) in foreign currency revenue from its overseas projects in Madrid, Spain, and Niseko, Japan.
Hotel101’s global expansion aims to operate one million hotel rooms by 2050, with 50,000 units planned in the Philippines. This bold vision positions DoubleDragon’s Hotel101 as a future leader in the global hotel industry and a key US dollar inflow generator for the Philippines.
With its innovative and exportable business model, Hotel101 is not only reshaping the hospitality landscape but also making strides toward becoming one of the Top 5 hotel companies in the world while solidifying its status as the largest hotel chain in the Philippines.
