As part of the “Christmas Like No Other” holiday celebration this year, Araneta City revives the iconic Christmas On Display attraction to bring Yuletide joy to kids, and a nostalgic feeling to kids at heart.

Opened to the public on November 11, the renowned holiday display of the yesteryear is mounted inside Araneta City’s mini Festival Carnival — which features the City of First’s giant Christmas tree, grand Christmas stage and lights, food park, merry-go-round, and other kiddie attractions. It is displayed on a 30-meter wide and 10-meter high platform.

The grand opening was attended by actress and comedienne Melai Cantiveros-Francisco and her kids Mela and Stela, the Binibining Pilipinas 2022 queens, Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte and other city officials, Barangay Socorro Captain Ted Santos and other barangay officials, and Araneta City executives and employees.

“Araneta City is a place of many firsts and memorable experiences. By bringing back the Christmas on Display, we want to offer an exciting treat to children, and make the adults relive their fun holiday memories,” Marjorie Go, AVP for Marketing of Araneta City, said.

The display’s life-sized moving mannequins will narrate the story of the birth of Jesus Christ. It will run daily until January 8, 2023, with two shows per hour every night starting at 6:00 P.M.

“Through this attraction, we take pride in the distinct holiday tradition we have in our country. We celebrate the fact that Christmas celebration in the Philippines, more so in Araneta City, is like no other in the world,” Go added.
