Mondial Medical Technologies bridges the modernization of Philippine healthcare through its growing international network of equipment suppliers.

The company has partnered with Agfa to become the distributor of the highly sought after Digital Radiography products in the Philippines. Touted as a new force in mobile direct radiology (DR), the DR100s extends its patient-centered benefits in Philippine hospitals and clinics.

The DR100s is a mobile digital radiology system that is flexible and efficient. It features excellent DR image quality that enables “first-time right” imaging at low radiation dose that allows for faster workflow in the department, better patient care and diagnosis.

Arlene M. Navarro, Sales Director of Mondial Technologies, states that “the Mobile D100s will be offered to both private and government hospitals in all regions of the country to provide our radiologists and technicians with the best imaging quality, enabling faster diagnosis and treatment.”

Angel Yrastorza, Managing Director of Mondial Medical Technologies, adds “we are very confident with the AGFA Mobile DR100s as our debut product to the rest of the AGFA healthcare line. Its technology is cut above the rest of the competition which Mondial looks for in all its offerings as we aim to be at the forefront of the industry.”

The machine is very mobile and can be maneuvered even in small spaces with its Zero Force Technology. Its agility enables staff members to easily do imaging, in the bedside, wards, ICU and operating rooms. Equipped with Agfa’s gold standard intelligent MUSICA image processing technology, it provides the highest image quality while using the lowest possible patient radiation dose.

Mica F. Tan, CEO of MFT Group, the holding company of Mondial Medical Technologies, sees substantial potential in the launch. She states, “Our market intelligence indicates great opportunities in the medical imaging industry given the country’s growing population and increasing demand for medical imaging services. We are confident that this partnership with Agfa will provide better diagnosis that will ultimately lead to better decision-making by our medical doctors and thus enhancing patient experience.”

Having already serviced and supplied 500 hospitals and institutions all over the Philippines, Mondial Medical Technologies anticipates positive clientele experience of the DR100s and how this versatile and agile machine can simplify the requirements of both hospital staff and patients alike.

“Our experts were very impressed with it and this is the type of innovation we would like to see more of here in the local setting. This is only the beginning,” adds Tan.

The partnership between Mondial Medical Technologies and Agfa grants Mondial Medical Technologies the right to bring Agfa’s highly innovative European manufactured medical equipment such as the DR100s to Philippine healthcare institutions.

Edison Laserna, Agfa Healthcare’s Country Business Development Manager for the Philippines, deems the launch a milestone. He says, “We are very excited for this event because this is the first opportunity to have a face to-face interaction with our customers after the pandemic and even more so as this is the first time the DR100s will be seen in South East Asia.”

“The total DR business in the Philippines is estimated at 1.2B USD and that includes mobile x-rays, floor mounted, ceiling mounted, DR Retrofits and digital RF. Our team from Agfa, together with Mondial, will be touring around the Philippines to show the product to our customers,” Laserna adds.
