Alorica Inc., a global provider in customer experiences, announced today its action plan to provide COVID-19 vaccines to thousands of employees who choose to be vaccinated, free of charge. Alorica has partnered with the Philippine government to source vaccines for its workforce, making the company one of the first groups of large businesses to make the
vaccine accessible for its employees.

Alorica has ordered 80,000 doses of vaccine to support both employees and citizens of the Philippines. To employees who choose to participate, the vaccine will be administered by licensed healthcare providers with costs covered by Alorica.

“We’re doing everything we can to make the COVID-19 vaccine available to our people as soon as possible simply because it’s the right thing to do,” shared Bong Borja, president of Alorica’s Asia-Pacific Operations. “This goes beyond taking care of our employees so that they are able to earn a living. It’s about keeping them, their families and communities safe. As one of the largest, longtime employers in the Philippines, it’s our responsibility to take care of our country. We’re starting with as many doses as we were able to order for now.”

Through a landmark agreement that includes the Philippine National Government and AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, Inc., 17 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine will be ordered on behalf of the country. As a sponsor of this initiative, Alorica will not only provide thousands of employees with the vaccine but also donate thousands of doses to priority groups in conjunction with the government.

“It’s our duty as corporate citizens to work collaboratively with other companies and the government to help maintain our people’s wellbeing and the stability of our economy,” stated Borja. “I am proud of our employees for their resiliency and dedication during these times, especially as we continue to deliver essential services in healthcare, banking, telecommunications, logistics, food delivery, among others. On behalf of Alorica, I pledge our continued commitment to supporting our employees’ wellbeing and our country’s growth.”
