In response to various needs of their customers, Puregold Price Club, Inc., which operates a chain of supermarkets in the Philippines, recently introduced PUREGOLD mobile app SALLY or Shopping Ally.
During the media briefing, Puregold executives explained how SALLY can make the shopping experience convenient.
“It saves time, keeps your stocks at home or stores easily replenished and a lot more,” Puregold VP for Operations Tony Delos Santos explained.
“SALLY (Your Shopping Ally) app offers convenience through its cart-less grocery shopping feature. All that is needed to do is simply scan the barcode of the items to be purchased. Once completed, customers will receive a confirmation summarizing the purchases, thus, making their shopping experience easy and hassle-free. This allows customers to skip the long lines in the cashier checkout,” Puregold VP for Operations added.
When asked what other capabilities that SALLY has, the app has the record of past transactions hence if reordering of the products would not be difficult, which is highly recommended and useful for the SMEs (Small-to-Medium Enterprise) who need to restock or replenish inventories. And through the ASK SALLY in-app chat, users can receive real-time responses about order status and other pertinent questions.
In terms of payment methods, shoppers have several payment options they can use for their own convenience. They can choose to pay cash at the store or input their credit/debit card details, and also payment with their GCASH account.
For the members of Puregold Tindahan Ni Aling Puring and PERKS, they can link their card details to the app to view their points.
