A sad news to the youth of Bicol as the main celebrant of the Regional Youth Day Opening Mass, the Papal Nuncio to the Philippines, Archbishop Gabriele Giordano Caccia has been denied to board the CEBU PACIFIC plane because his boarding pass was rejected by the machine.

In the Facebook post of Paulo B. Barandon, the airline allegedly denied the Papal Nuncio to board the plane because of the machine cannot read his boarding pass.

Baradon lamented in his post, “Ayaw nang tanggapin ng machine.. Wala bang magawa ang tao kung ayaw ng machine? Mas matalino na ba ang makina kaysa tao?”

This is not the first time the Cebu Pacific Airline got into controversy for their poor service. On several occasions, they denied down syndrome passengers and mishandled persons with disabilities for using the reason that they are budget airline.

The Philippine Business and News tried to get the reaction of Cebu Pacific, but no response yet as of this posting.

The Papal Nuncio is the Ambassador of the Vatican State to the Philippines and is not deem as security threat according to one of the pilot friends of THEPHILBIZNEWS when sought for his comment about the incident.

The former Cebu Pacific pilot said, “That is the problem when people lack common sense. The problem should have been elevated to the manager and let the manager relay to the higher up. The passenger they denied is a Papa Nuncio. Do they not realize the PR disaster they just created?”

“I also admire the Papal Nuncio for his austerity measure in using a budget airline like CebuPac. But this is a sad incident and they should handle this well. That has been the problem in the airline industry in the country, they usually egt away with it after sometime,” our source said in closing.
