After a report confirming that Jeane Catherine Napoles, the youngest daughter of Janet Lim-Napoles, dubbed as pork barrel scam queen left the country, her lawyer Ian Encarnacion said that she returned to the country the Philippines last Friday, I personally fetched her at the NAIA (Ninoy Aquino International Airport) on August 3, 2018 at 03:35H, according to Jeane Catherine Napoles’ lawyer. Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra also confirmed that Jeane Catherine Napoles had returned.

He said, “She returned back yesterday from Denpasar, Indonesia via Zest Air”. Guevarra disclosed on Friday that Jeane fled the Philippines on July 27 or a few days before the US government indicted her, her mother, and four other relatives for alleged money laundering.

Recently, Janet Lim-Napoles and her family members were indicted by a federal grand jury for Conspiracy to Commit Money Laundering, Domestic Money Laundering and International Money Laundering in and out of the United States approximately $20 million in Philippine public funds obtained through a multi-year bribery and fraud scheme.

It was not clear whether the daughter and other family members of Napoles are in the watchlist of the bureau of immigration or have hold order departure. “We maintain our client’s innocence and we look forward to having these cases dismissed”, Encarnacion said.
