PAL, CebuPac prep up to resume commercial flight operations

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines, and budget airline Cebu Pacific recently announced the preparations that they are doing as both local airline companies set to resume their flight operations>

However, they also pointed out all the necessary steps they made to ensure that health and safety measures are in place for all the passengers and airline staff.

Since the implementation of the ECQ in Metro Manila and other selected areas in Luzon that considered as high risks, all the international and domestic flights are suspended to prevent the spread of the COVID19 virus.

Both airline companies would require all their passengers to wear face masks all throughout the flights and abide by the health and safety measures prepared by them. There would be complete disinfection of cabin, and availability of the sanitizers for the passenger.

For her part, Cielo Villaluna, PAL spokesperson explained, “The resumption of commercial flight operations would depend on the travel demand, the safety, as well as the travel restrictions imposed by various governments.”
