Shell Philippines steps up support to people affected by COVID19

As the number of cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines continues to increase and inevitably impact everyone globally, Pilipinas Shell made sure that they actively take part in the healing and rebuilding of our country and people.

With the various efforts initiated by Pilipinas Shell, they hope to inspire more people and organizations to do the same.

To Move the Country and our Frontliners 

Retail Site Efforts

  1. Free fuel has been provided to 10 district partner hospitals and three transport companies to aid in the transportation of front liners, the mobilization of ambulances, and other ongoing relief efforts in Luzon and Visayas
    1. Each district partner, along with the Bonifacio Global City Bus service, has been given ₱10,000 per week for the next two weeks. 
    2. Moreover, bus services such as Ube Express and Vallacar Transit’s Ceres buses have each been given ₱30,000 and ₱100,000 respectively in the same time frame. 
  2. Project Bayanihan: Fuels discount (without purchase) of 3Php off for gasoline; 2Php off for diesel are available to frontliners nationwide
  3. Retailers across the Philippines offering Powerpacks to frontliners (Free coffee, water, bread/biscuits) 
  4. Select and Angkas partners to deliver products to households from 10 Shell Select Metro Manila sites
  5. Four of the company’s retail sites in Bacolod have also begun offering free Vitamin C to all customers who gas up.

To Empower the community 

  1. Ani Para sa Bayani: 
    1. Enable smallholder farmer to sell their produce during the enhanced community quarantine period
    2. Provide frontline health workers with healthy and nutritious meals.
    3. Provide LGUs with fruits and vegetables for inclusion in their assistance packages to food-insecure households

  1. Provide medical frontliners with appropriate and safe PPEs
  2. Provide livelihood for sewers who have been affected by COVID 19 lockdown
  3. Encourage Volunteerism among the youth to provide PPE and other safety equipment that can be done DIY
  4. Optimize the use of 3D Printers available in Palawan to fabricate Face Shields
  5. Donations
    1. Donation of Php 4,000,000 to the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) for the purchase of family packs containing protection kits and basic goods to poor families. 
    2. Donation of 5000 units of N95 face masks and 675 HazMat suits to the Department of Health, Philippine General Hospital, Batangas Medical Center and Harbor Pilot Association of Batangas
    3. 6,000 food packs have been distributed to indigent families from T&S fenceline communities in Camarines Sur, Palawan, Anibong, Iloilo, Calapan, Masbate, Bacolod, Iligan and Cagayan de Oro City. 
    4. 4,300 packs of rice for Barangays San Isidro, Ambulong and Libjo, Batangas
    5. Donation of 70 boxes of Select Water to 7 Hospitals
