Jeanette Bocobo Marco was recently appointed as the USA Regional Director of  The World Champions of Performing Arts also know of  WCOPA. She is also the National Director for Japan and National Director for United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the same organization.

The World Championships of Performing Arts is the only international performing arts talent competition and educational experience of its kind held annually in Hollywood/Los Angeles Area. This is the innovative, official ‘World Talent Contest’ with esteemed entertainment industry professionals invited to judge, conduct seminars and sign talent.  Delegations come from around the World, to learn from industry professionals in the WORLD STARS Boot Camp conducted during the eight day event.  The week starts with a Parade of Nations and ends with a Worldwide Webcast of the finalist competing for the title of Champion of the World.

Prizes include scholarships valued at over a quarter of a million dollars from schools like New York Film Academy and New York Conservatory.  A recording contract, artist development scholarships and other continuing education scholarships for intensive programs are also some of the prizes to be awarded.

 

 

Each year  prizes may change and additional prizes are provided by sponsors in addition to Grand Champions- trophies,  Over all Division Winners- plaques, Preliminary Winners- gold, silver and bronze medals.The real prize is the doors opened after adding the World Championships of Performing Arts achievements and training to your resume.

Singers, musicians, dancers, variety artists, actors and models from 60 countries are competed before judges from the entertainment industry at the recently concluded 22nd Annual World Championships of Performing Arts® (WCOPA), last July 6 – 15, 2018 in Long Beach,California.

Team USA successfully brought home 29 gold medals, 30 silver, 16 bronze, 19 overall category winners, 17 semifinalists, 7 finalists,and 3 Grand Champions. There were 42 Team USA members  and 3 of which are from New York!

The three New York Representatives which was headed by Jeanette Bocobo Marcowere Fil-Ams:

1) Jenn Cuneta-Vocalist Senior Division, Overall Champion Female Pop. She won Gold for Female Vocals Pop Category and Bronze for Female Vocals World Category.

2) Ysabella Alberto-Vocalist/Model 16. She won: Silver Casual Everyday Model

3) Samantha Cunanan competed in the Junior Contestant 5 years old category

Jeanette is currently the President of the Basilia Womenst Foundation,a Non-Profit Organization that supports Victims of Domestic Violence,the Executive Director of Marco Art NYC and Marco Not Polo. She is also the Marketing Director of the International Film Festival Manhattan.

Apart from the position she is the Co-Producer of a Lifestyle Reality Show Get Reel TV.An Event Producer and organizer with 17 years of masterful experience in publication,travel and hospitality industry both here in New York, UAE, Japan and in Australia.Jeanette is a graduate of Mass Communications from the University of the Philippines, acquired her Masters Degree in Business and Marketing from the University of Liverpool.
