Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP), in partnership with B.League, is bringing Japanese basketball closer to Filipino fans through the B.League Finals Week Manila, happening from May 21 to 24 at SM Megamall Mega Fashion Hall.

The four-day event celebrates the best of Japanese basketball while also marking the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and the Philippines.

A key highlight of the collaboration is the B. Hope Asia Jr. Clinic on May 23, an initiative that reflects Toyota’s commitment to empowering Filipino grassroots athletes by providing young basketball enthusiasts access to world-class coaching and training opportunities.

The clinic will offer children of different skill levels an afternoon of basketball instruction and interactive activities led by professional B.League players. Filipino basketball star Kiefer Ravena of the Yokohama B-Corsairs will join the event as guest coach, giving participants a chance to learn from one of the country’s most recognized basketball figures.

“Eliminating barriers and creating opportunities for young athletes have always been part of Toyota’s commitment to nation-building through sports,” said Elijah Marcial, First Vice President for Vehicle Sales Operations of TMP.

Marcial highlighted Toyota’s continuing support for Filipino athletes through its “Start Your Impossible” campaign, including partnerships with Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo in promoting children’s development through gymnastics clinics, and para swimmer Ernie Gawilan through environmental initiatives such as coastal cleanups and mangrove planting activities nationwide.

TMP also reaffirmed its longstanding support for Philippine basketball, having previously served as the official mobility partner of Gilas Pilipinas during the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup.

Beyond the basketball activities, visitors can also explore Toyota’s latest vehicle lineup at the Toyota booth and participate in interactive games for a chance to win exclusive prizes.
