The J. Amado Araneta Foundation Inc. (JAAF) has been recognized as an Outstanding Stakeholder by the Department of Education – Schools Division Office in Quezon City, in acknowledgment of its sustained support for public education programs in the city.
JAAF received the citation during the 6th Gawad Kaagapay Awards held on December 18, an annual ceremony honoring private sector and institutional partners that provide financial, material, and programmatic support to Quezon City’s public schools and learners.
This marks the second consecutive year that JAAF has been honored under the Gawad Kaagapay program, recognizing its role in expanding educational access for disadvantaged students and out-of-school youth.
Among the foundation’s key initiatives is the Student Excellence Award and Scholarship (SEAS), which grants four-year college scholarships to valedictorians from Quezon City public high schools.
JAAF also implements iLEAP (Immersion Link for Enablers and Adapters Program), which provides skills training and workplace immersion for out-of-school youth, with employment opportunities within the Araneta Group.
In addition, the foundation has partnered with the Department of Science and Technology – National Capital Region (DOST-NCR) to support technology-driven projects aimed at fostering innovation among young learners and local communities.
The Gawad Kaagapay Awards bring together partners from government agencies and the private sector to highlight collaborative efforts in strengthening public education and improving learning outcomes for Quezon City’s youth.
