Manila Electric Company (Meralco), led by Manuel V. Pangilinan, officially ushered in the holiday season with its annual Liwanag Park Lighting Ceremony at the Meralco Operating Center in Pasig City. This year’s theme, “A Brighter Christmas for All,” features a dazzling 3D mapping display projected onto the façade of the iconic Lopez Building, brought to life using Panasonic technology.
Sustainability remains at the heart of Liwanag Park. Many installations are crafted from repurposed materials, including a 45-foot Christmas tree, miniature houses made of copper wires, tunnels of colorful LED lights with bulbs set inside used meter covers, and a giant belen, a cherished symbol of Paskong Pinoy. Visitors can also enjoy a tranvia ride and other interactive displays throughout the park.
Liwanag Park is open to the public from December 1 to 23, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM, and from December 24 to 31, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 12 midnight. Admission is free, and guests are encouraged to observe safety protocols while enjoying the festivities.
