Filipino exporters are set to gain a competitive edge in the global market with the launch of two new digital platforms designed to streamline compliance and increase international visibility. The Origin Management System (OMS) and PHX Source will be officially unveiled during the National Export Congress (NEC) on 4 December 2025 at EDSA Shangri-La Hotel.

The OMS is a web-based platform that digitizes the application and issuance of the Product Evaluation Report (PER), a requirement for preferential tariffs under the Philippines’ free trade agreements (FTAs) and Generalized System of Preferences (GSPs). Developed in partnership with the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT), the system simplifies processes and addresses the constraints of manual PER applications.

Complementing this, the PHX Source—developed with QSweep Tech Services—is an online export directory that enhances the global visibility of Philippine exporters, enabling them to connect with buyers worldwide.

“Our goal is to equip exporters with the right tools to thrive globally. The OMS and PHX Source help exporters compete, connect, and collaborate across borders,” said DTI-EMB Director Sykimte.

At the NEC, the DTI-EMB will also present export promotion programs and initiatives for 2026, aligned with the Philippine Export Development Plan (PEDP) 2023–2028. DTI Undersecretary Ceferino Rodolfo will discuss the outcomes of the PEDP midterm review, highlighting key milestones, challenges, and interventions needed to sustain export growth.

The event will conclude with the Exporters’ Awards Night, honoring companies whose innovation, resilience, and export performance have made significant contributions to the national economy.

The NEC wraps up the National Exporters’ Week (NEW), held from 1–4 December 2025 under the theme “Making Waves: Exporters Driving the Nation Forward.” The celebration emphasizes the vital role of exporters in sustaining the Philippines’ export achievements.

NEW activities include capacity-building sessions, workshops, and Usapang Exports forums covering export financing, supply chain solutions, intellectual property management, customs processes, productivity improvements, and emerging opportunities in digitalization, sustainability, and competitiveness.

Philippine Exporters Confederation Inc. (PHILEXPORT) President Sergio Ortiz-Luis Jr. stressed the importance of nurturing the export ecosystem, particularly for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). “Exports remain our best investment. Strengthening the ecosystem and supporting MSMEs is key to sustaining growth,” he said.

An Exporters’ Exhibit will also showcase the Philippines’ diverse exported goods and services, highlighting innovative food products, lifestyle items, and high-value services that reflect Filipino ingenuity.

The 2025 National Exporters’ Week is organized by DTI-EMB, the Export Development Council (EDC), and PHILEXPORT, with support from partner trade agencies, institutions, and business organizations.
