With the strong desire of Filipino households to become more energy-efficient and achieve power reliability and occasional outages, the demand for smarter home energy solutions continues to grow across the country. Responding to this need, EcoFlow, a global leader in eco-friendly energy technology, has launched the EcoFlow PowerOcean Single-Phase in the Philippines, marking its official entry into Southeast Asia’s home energy storage market.

Building on its proven success in Europe, the PowerOcean system provides reliable backup power, intelligent energy management, cost-saving efficiency, and advanced safety protection, offering households a secure and independent energy solution that supports both sustainability and resilience.

EcoFlow PowerOcean is designed to help families reduce electricity costs through smart energy control. Its inverter supports up to 12 kW PV input and allows 95 percent depth of discharge, ensuring optimal energy use. With an AI-driven time-of-use management system, the unit automatically decides when to charge, discharge, or feed energy back to the grid. It analyzes real-time electricity prices, weather forecasts, and household usage patterns to store power during off-peak hours, prioritize solar energy during the day, and sell surplus electricity when rates are high. The system also provides accurate daily and monthly cost forecasts, helping users manage consumption more efficiently. In Europe, PowerOcean users have reported electricity bill reductions of up to 77.8 percent annually.

Starting at 5 kWh and expandable to 10 kWh or 15 kWh, the PowerOcean system offers scalable capacity and consistent performance. It operates at a 0.67C discharge rate—higher than the industry standard—allowing multiple appliances to run simultaneously without disruption. Using CATL’s LFP battery cells, the PowerOcean achieves over 6,000 life cycles, providing more than ten years of daily use, and includes a 10-year warranty for added reliability and peace of mind.

Safety is a key focus of the PowerOcean system. It uses LFP battery chemistry supported by an advanced Battery Management System that monitors each cell in real time to detect and address potential issues early. The entire unit carries an IP65 rating, ensuring stable operation under high heat, humidity, or extreme weather conditions—critical for tropical climates like the Philippines.

Through the EcoFlow app, users can monitor real-time energy generation, storage, and consumption, and even control the system using AI voice commands. This makes advanced solar storage management accessible and effortless for households transitioning to clean energy.

EcoFlow has successfully launched PowerOcean in key European markets such as Germany and the UK, gaining widespread adoption and industry recognition. The product has been featured in CHIP and PV Magazine and has received the German Innovation Award and German Design Award. With the Philippine launch, EcoFlow aims to bring its proven technology and expertise to Southeast Asia, empowering Filipino families to embrace smarter, cleaner, and more reliable home energy solutions.
