Honda Motor Co., Ltd. today unveiled the world premiere of the prototype of the Honda 0 α (Alpha) — the newest addition to its next-generation Honda 0 Series at the Japan Mobility Show 2025. The prototype will be on display at the Honda booth throughout the event, from Press Days (October 29–30) to Public Days (October 31–November 9, 2025).

The Honda 0 α represents the brand’s evolving vision for electric mobility, designed as an SUV that harmonizes with both urban and natural environments — supporting people’s lifestyles across diverse settings. Following the introduction of the Honda 0 Saloon and Honda 0 SUV at CES 2025, the 0 α serves as a “gateway model” into the Honda 0 Series lineup, combining refined design with a spacious cabin for superior comfort.

Embodying the “Thin, Light, and Wise” development philosophy of the Honda 0 Series, the production version of the Honda 0 α is set for global release in 2027, with Japan and India as key markets.

Packaging and Exterior Design

Built on Honda’s “Thin” design approach, the 0 α achieves a low-slung profile without sacrificing ground clearance, resulting in a slim yet roomy cabin that prioritizes both comfort and visibility. The SUV’s wide stance underscores its stability and dynamic road presence.

The exterior design captures the sleek, futuristic identity of the Honda 0 Series while maintaining the strong proportions of an SUV. Distinctive front and rear screen areas integrate functional and aesthetic elements, including headlights, a charging lid, and an illuminated Honda emblem in the front fascia.

At the rear, a U-shaped lighting design merges the tail lamps, backup lamps, and turn signals, highlighting the vehicle’s contours and enhancing its visual refinement. The result is a cohesive, high-tech appearance that blends form, function, and aerodynamics.

With the 0 α, Honda continues to demonstrate its commitment to intelligent EV design and global sustainability, reinforcing its pursuit of a zero-emission, zero-collision future.
