Carmen’s Best ramps up its nationwide expansion with new facilities and distribution channels in Visayas and Mindanao.

Through Metro Pacific Agro Ventures, Inc. (MPAV), which oversees the brand, recently opened a facility in Maramag, Bukidnon, housing 220 milking cows supplying fresh milk to southern markets.

The Bukidnon facility complements Carmen’s Best’s two dairy plants and ice cream production facility in Laguna, Luzon, giving the brand one of the largest dairy herds in the country. The move reflects a broader strategy to strengthen local supply chains, increase accessibility of fresh dairy, and reduce reliance on imported products.

“From day one, our goal has been to deliver fresh, high-quality dairy to Filipinos without compromise,” said Jovy Hernandez, President and CEO of MPAV and Carmen’s Best. “With our expansion to Visayas and Mindanao, we can bring our ice cream, milk, and soon cheese products closer to households and businesses nationwide.”

Carmen’s Best recently participated in the 2025 Agri’Konek Food Summit in Cebu, engaging with local stakeholders and the Cebu Chamber of Commerce to explore collaboration opportunities. The engagement underscores the brand’s strategy of working closely with regional partners to strengthen the dairy sector outside Luzon.

The brand’s nationwide retail partnerships with SM Hypermarket, Robinson’s Supermarket, Metro Paisano, Puregold, and The Marketplace make its products widely accessible. Future plans include entry into the foodservice channel, with placements in restaurants, hotels, resorts, events, and scooping stations in Cebu.

Carmen’s Best’s portfolio spans premium ice cream, fresh milk, and soon, kesong puti. Its milk line features Whole Milk, Low-Fat Milk, Low-Fat Chocolate Milk, and Barista Fresh Milk—optimized with 3.2% fat for coffee applications—alongside the newly launched Salted Caramel Milk. Ice cream offerings include Salted Caramel, Dark Chocolate, and Everyone Loves Vanilla.

Cognizant of the growing demand across the country, Carmen’s Best bares expansion plans that include a new facility in Maramag, Bukidnon housing 220 milking cows, while maintaining two dairy plants and an ice cream production facility in Laguna. The brand has also strengthened its retail presence through partnerships with SM Hypermarket, Robinson’s, Metro Paisano, Puregold, and The Marketplace, and is entering new markets in Cebu, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, and Bukidnon. Its product portfolio now spans premium ice cream, fresh milk, and soon, cheese products.

By expanding both geographically and in product offerings, Carmen’s Best aims to strengthen the local dairy industry, support Filipino farmers, and ensure high-quality dairy reaches more households across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
