The Philippines’ economic ties with Taiwan received a fresh boost with the launch of a $4.3 million manufacturing facility in Batangas by Aromate PH Assets Corporation, a subsidiary of Taiwan-based Aromate Industries.

The investment was formalized through a registration agreement between the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) and Aromate PH, a direct outcome of PEZA’s investment promotion mission to Taiwan from August 25–30, 2025.

Set to rise at the LIMA Technology Center, the new plant will serve as a regional hub for air care products, catering to the expanding Southeast Asian market and broader global demand. Beyond exports, the project will also generate new jobs and spur technology-driven opportunities for Filipinos.

PEZA Director General Tereso Panga hailed the development as “a strong signal of confidence from Taiwanese firms” and a catalyst for more Taiwan-led investments in the Philippines.

Trade Representative Anthony B. Rivera, Director for Commercial Affairs at PTIC-Taipei, noted that Aromate’s presence goes beyond production:

“We are confident this investment will create opportunities not only in manufacturing but also in research and development for innovative air care solutions.”

Meanwhile, Manila Economic and Cultural Office Chair Cheloy E. Velicaria-Garafil reaffirmed the Philippine government’s commitment to fostering Taiwan partnerships,

“MECO fully supports companies like Aromate as they expand to the Philippines. We are committed to making it easier to do business and to building stronger industrial ties between the Philippines and Taiwan.”

As DTI’s official trade and investment promotion arm in Taiwan, PTIC-Taipei continues to drive high-impact partnerships and industrial collaboration—underscoring Taiwan’s commitment to sustained investment and innovation in the Philippines.
