British Chamber Celebrates World’s Gin Day in PH, 7 British distilleries showcase UK’s gin-making heritage

The British Chamber of Commerce Philippines (BCCP), with its partners namely, event partner: PMFTC, 1834 Premium Gin, major partner: Ayala Corporation Manila will host its annual World Gin Day celebration on 26 June 2025, at Mayuree II Ballroom, Dusit Thani Manila.

This exclusive celebration brings together the growing gin community–from retailers, distributors, and gin enthusiasts. Seven prominent British distilleries–Dunnet Bay Distillers, Eight Lands, G&I Spirit Group Ltd., Masons of Yorkshire, Spirit of Trent, The Cotswolds Distillery, and Whitley Neill Gin, showcasing the depth of the UK’s gin-making heritage alongside modern innovations shaping today’s global market.

The evening will feature the 7th Bartending Competition, showcasing local talent while demonstrating practical applications of British gin products in the Philippine hospitality market.

BCCP Executive Chairman Chris Nelson noted that, “The British Chamber celebrates World Gin Day annually as a testament to the continuously growing gin market in the Philippines, to which the UK remains a strong partner marked by its craftsmanship and innovation.”

The United Kingdom remains the world’s largest market for gin, with manufacturers’ sales reaching a record £749 million in 2023. British gin also continues to enjoy strong global demand, with export values hitting $719 million USD in the same year.

As one of the top global exporters, the UK is strengthening its presence in the Philippine market by building deeper relationships with local retailers, distributors, and hospitality stakeholders. This growing engagement reflects both the rising consumer appetite for premium gin in the Philippines and the UK’s commitment to introducing quality and world-class gins that contribute to the overall bilateral trade and relationship.

Other supporting partners include The Philippine Business and News and British Women’s Association (BWA). This business-focused networking approach reflects the Chamber’s ongoing commitment to facilitating meaningful commercial relationships between the UK and Philippine companies in the food & beverage industry.
