Thailand’s leading hospitality brand, Dusit Thani, is expanding its presence to Cebu, Davao, Bukidnon, Cagayan de Oro, and Zamboanga, said Thai Ambassador to the Philippines Tull Traisorat Thursday.
Ambassador Traisorat highlighted this milestone during a recent celebratory reception at Dusit Thani Manila, marking the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, the birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, and Thailand’s Father’s Day.
“This expansion reflects our unwavering commitment and confidence in the Philippines’ economic progress and potential,” said Ambassador Traisorat, emphasizing the deepening ties between the two nations, which are celebrating 75 years of diplomatic relations this year.
The flourishing partnership between Thailand and the Philippines extends beyond political and economic realms, with tourism collaboration taking center stage.
Among the key initiatives is the “two countries, one destination” program, a joint effort by the Thai embassy and the Philippine Department of Tourism to promote sustainable and inclusive tourism practices.
Another highlight is the launch of direct flight routes like Cebu-Bangkok and Manila-Chiang Mai through Cebu Pacific Air, which enhances connectivity, fosters cultural exchanges, and bolsters business opportunities.
“Thailand and the Philippines are united by values of friendship, mutual respect, and collaboration,” said Ambassador Tull. “Together, we aim to be premier destinations, offering extraordinary experiences that showcase the unique cultures and landscapes of both countries.”
Thursday’s celebration drew distinguished guests from government, business, and the diplomatic community.
