Shera’s SPC Flooring boasts a durable, environment-friendly surface developed using high technology.

Shera, the leading fiber cement manufacturer in the Philippines, has introduced its groundbreaking Fybertec Technology, a patented innovation set to revolutionize the local construction industry by offering durable, sustainable, and eco-friendly solutions.

As it prepares to open its first local plant in Mabalacat, Pampanga, in March 2025, Shera is ramping up its commitment to the Filipino market.

The Shera Board Pro, developed with Fybertec Technology, is the latest addition to its lineup of world-class products, ensuring stronger, smoother, and more flexible fiber cement boards that reduce paint costs by up to 20%.

These products are engineered to withstand water, fire, termites, and unpredictable weather—key challenges for Filipino homeowners and builders.

Shera’s innovative fiber cement products align with the rising demand for sustainable construction materials in the Philippines, driven by green building trends and government mandates.

Fiber cement, with its low environmental impact, longevity, and durability, is an eco-friendly alternative to conventional materials. Shera also ensures its processes adhere to global sustainability standards, with the upcoming Pampanga plant integrating AI and IoT technology for efficient, eco-conscious production.

“By showing our innovative products, we aim to empower Filipinos to build homes and structures that are durable, reliable, and sustainable,” said Shera Philippines Country Head Thunnop Jumpasri. “This 2025, we’re poised to expand our market share beyond 40% by showcasing that green and innovative materials can meet the construction demands of the modern Filipino.”

Built for the Filipino market

At the heart of the Shera Board Pro’s performance is Fybertec Technology, a proprietary process that fuses fibers to create fewer pores and air gaps, resulting in a denser, stronger, and more flexible board. This ensures easier installation, reduced costs, and extreme resistance to the elements, making it ideal for the Philippines’ tropical climate.

Shera has also introduced other eco-friendly products to cater to diverse needs:

  • Shera Gypsum Standard Board: Lightweight and ideal for ceilings and drywall.
  • Shera Gypsum Moisture Resistance Board: Engineered for water-prone areas like kitchens and bathrooms, with a water absorption rate of <10%.
  • SPC Interior Flooring: Water-resistant, formaldehyde-free flooring that prevents moisture and inhibits bacteria for healthier spaces.

Global standards

With the Pampanga facility projected to produce up to 200,000 tons of fiber cement annually, Shera aims to reduce import dependency and position the Philippines as a hub for exporting eco-friendly materials to Taiwan, South Korea, North Asia, and Oceania.

Shera’s advanced manufacturing capabilities and sustainability-first approach are designed to cater to developers’ and consumers’ needs for environmentally friendly materials, helping the Philippine construction industry embrace greener building practices.
