Globe continues to demonstrate robust growth in its mobile business, with revenues reaching an all-time high of ₱58.4 billion as of end June 2024, a significant 7% increase from the ₱54.8 billion reported during the same period last year.

Total mobile revenues now make up 71% of Globe’s consolidated gross service revenues, up from 68% a year ago. Mobile customer base has also grown to 59.5 million in the first six months of 2024, reflecting Globe’s strong market presence and customer trust.

“The sustained growth in our mobile business is a result of our relentless efforts to enhance customer experience, deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our subscribers, and our strategic investments in network infrastructure,” said Darius Delgado, Globe Vice President and Head, Consumer Mobile Business.

Globe’s impressive performance underscores its effective market repair initiatives and unwavering commitment to delivering superior network quality, fostering customer loyalty towards its products and services.

A key driver of this growth is the mobile data segment, which now constitutes 82% of mobile revenues, up from 80% in 2023.

Mobile data revenues hit a record-breaking quarterly high of Php24.2 billion, amounting to Php48 billion for the first half of the year. This represents a notable 9% increase from the previous peak of Php44 billion in the same period last year.

The surge in mobile data revenues is largely attributed to the increasing reliance of Filipinos on mobile apps for a wide range of online activities, including e-commerce, media streaming, and social networking. The widespread availability of smartphones has also further accelerated this revenue expansion.

Mobile data traffic registered a significant uptick, reaching 3,256 petabytes, compared to 2,814 petabytes reported in the same period last year. This increase shows improved data consumption across all brands.

Moreover, the company’s continuous improvement of network coverage and capacity has enabled it to meet the growing demand for mobile data and maintain its competitive edge in the telecom industry.

By prioritizing customer satisfaction and network excellence, Globe maintains its leadership in the Philippine telecom landscape, delivering top-notch products and services that enrich the lives of Filipinos.
