The diversified Cebu-based family-owned Top Line Group of Companies seeks to further expand its businesses in Central Visayas on its 11th year.

In a recent media briefing, President and Chief Executive Officer Eugene Erik Lim said that Top Line Business Development Corporation (TLBDC), which is involved in real estate, port operations, technology research, and manpower services, will expand toward creating more livelihood opportunities and more environmental sustainability programs.

Noting that Central Visayas is 2023’s fastest growing economy among the country’s 17 regions with a gross domestic product of 7.3%, Lim also said Top Line will serve the region’s continuing demand for business services.

“Being future-ready is part of the ESG (environmental and social governance) program of Top Line…We’re still looking into different ways to add more for our sustainability program,” Lim said.

Aside from its electric vehicle (EV) charging kiosks, Top Line’s sustainability programs include putting up solar panels on the roofs of their gasoline service stations.

In its first service station last year, Light Fuels has incorporated cutting-edge technology and sustainable services in its EV charging kiosks.

Recognizing that Central Visayas has 68% of motorcycle or scooter users, Lim said Light Fuels Express will cater to the needs of two-wheeled vehicles.

At the same time, Lim said that Top Line will build nine more fuel stations this year, with 2 Light Fuels stations expected to open next month.

Light Fuels Corp., which focuses on retail, and Top Line Logistics and Development Corp. (TLDC), which engages in the importation, distribution, marketing, and trading of petroleum-based products, are Top Line’s two current subsidiaries.

When service meets sustainability

Lim said Top Line operates with a “service at heart” approach.

He said this means that the company provides efficient and reliable solutions with diverse offerings, timely delivery, competitive pricing, quality service, and exceptional customer service.

Lim said Top Line’s vertically integrated strategy helps optimize cost and minimize supply chain risks. He said this strategy also helps create more livelihood opportunities for micro, small, and medium enterprises, as well as mitigate environmental impacts on the country.

Top Line affiliates include:
● Pier 88 Ventures Inc. for port operations and management;
● Top Line Properties and Development Corp. for real estate development and operations and ferry terminal construction and operations;
● Top Line Hi-Tech and Synergy Corp. for technology research and development;
● Top Line Energy and Power and Development Corp. for clean and green technology;
● Top Line Marina Wharf for port and ferry terminal operations;
● Top Line Services and Development Corp. for restaurant operations and manpower services.

“With this expansion program of the company—with service being at the heart of it—could hopefully in a small simple way, help the Philippine economy achieve greater heights,” Lim said.

Also present at the media briefing were Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer Brigitte Carmel Lim and First Vice President and Chief Finance Officer Atty. Constance Marie Lim.
