Fostering the company’s hashtag #ItStartsWithCare, Carelon Global Solutions Philippines has celebrated its milestone of being a champion with a value of ‘genuine and holistic care’ in the IT-BPM industry for employees and partner stakeholders.

Carelon Global Solutions Philippines rebranded itself from Legato Health Technologies last year, and it has continued its pivotal role in transforming the approach of healthcare work. As of Q2 in 2024, the company has grown to more than 9,000 full-time employees and achieved 80 capabilities (from doing phone calls to having a team of developers) performed out of the country as a global capability center.

“We are 99% Filipino leaders,”  said VP and Country Chief Executive, Mr. Nicolai “Nicki” Agcaoili. He shared at a media briefing that Carelon believes that Filipino talent has the competitive advantage in a unique brand of service and expertise in the field be it in healthcare, technology, or customer experience that helps advance healthcare globally.

By nurturing this world-class pool of Filipino workforce, these leaders can continue to upskill and reskill their professional competencies.

“Having started as a call center agent, I know it’s not an easy job,” said Agcaoili. He explained that at Carelon — “It starts with CARE… Care-experience is care-delivered” — emphasizing how they go the extra mile to help their customers and how everything they do is “rooted in our care for our people and the people we serve, the chief country added.

Also, he emphasized that the company launches end-to-end workforce management solutions such as capacity-building processes as the organization’s health matters. This orghealth is driven by leadership — which Ms. Jamie Abella, Senior Manager – Marketing, Communications, and External Affairs explained; and can be manifested through being a servant, adaptive, or steward leader. Aside from that, talent creation and culture are also important.

True to its core, Carelon plays a significant role not only in providing job opportunities but also in the growth of the economy; it all begins with care
