What’s there to say about Senator Padilla? For naysayers, know this: Sen. Padilla might have come from a totally different background before politics, but in either discipline, he epitomizes integrity and courage.

His unwavering commitment to justice, demonstrated through his oft-oppositionist stance during Marcos’s leadership despite personal risk, showcases his moral fortitude.

If Padilla’s legal acumen is ever questioned, it must be taken into account that his dedication to the Filipino people is what drove him to be a key architect of change in the Constitution. This is proof that Padilla’s vision for a democratic and just society shines through.

He undoubtedly maintained a principled stance in governance, upholding the rule of law and fighting for freedom. Like it or not, these qualities already cement his place as a paragon of virtue in Philippine history.

Now, I’ve heard how very loosely Sen. Padilla has been criticized by this generation of social media thought peddlers on the mere account of one speech that supposedly got him mixed up with names. Nobody’s perfect and mistakes naturally happen.

So, shame on all of you for your foul judgment, for picking on such a great Filipino member of Congress — Senator Ambrosio Padilla!

By the way, on an unrelated note, can someone tell me in the comments box what’s that about some actor who, I think, offered condolences to the Cayetano siblings in the Senate, thinking Sen. Rene Saguisag who has just died was their dad (Sen. Rene Cayetano)?

That guy must have his brain checked.

Who is Alice Guo?

A lot of mystery should not be surrounding the identity of an elected mayor of Bamban, Tarlac, but that is exactly what’s rare and unique about Alice Guo.

With her citizenship now under scrutiny by Senator Risa Hontiveros amid a climate where Chinese nationals in the Philippines face suspicion over falsified documents and espionage allegations, questions arise.

Amid congratulatory messages from China, Guo’s true allegiance remains unclear. While ads hail her as a “Chinese-American” mayor, her lack of official Filipino records and dubious connections raise doubts.

Hontiveros’s concerns over Guo’s ties to Chinese interests and possible identity fraud demand a thorough investigation. In a time of heightened vigilance against foreign influence, Guo’s case underscores the imperative of safeguarding Philippine sovereignty and security.
