InLife Health Care, originally established in 1991 as a fully owned HMO subsidiary of The Insular Life Assurance Company, Ltd. (InLife), proudly announces its evolution back to its roots, reclaiming its first brand name, iCare.
The Company has consistently achieved significant milestones, particularly in recent years. Notable among these achievements is the introduction of prepaid sachet-type health plans in 2019, offering cost-effective solutions to a broader segment of Filipinos. Additionally, strategic collaborations with leading e-commerce platforms have expanded accessibility to its services.
Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Company remained steadfast in its commitment to members, extending voluntary coverage despite the exclusion of pandemics and epidemics from healthcare agreements. This proactive approach earned recognition from the IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, for its exemplary response to the health crisis. Additionally, in 2020, the Company was honored with the Circle of Excellence for Leadership Team of the Year Award at the 2020 Asia CEO Awards.
Demonstrating remarkable growth, the Company exceeded expectations with a compounded annual growth rate of 29% from 2018 to 2022, surpassing its five-year growth plan and climbing in industry ranking from no. 12 to no. 6. This exceptional achievement was acknowledged by Statista and the Philippine Daily Inquirer in 2023, recognizing the Company among the top 25 fastest-growing companies in the Philippines, a distinction unparalleled in the HMO industry.
To support the Company’s hypergrowth and further enhance its products and services, InLife forged a partnership with Value-Based Healthcare (Singapore) — a move that was approved by the Insurance Commission. As InLife Health Care enters a new chapter, new culture and strategies have been incorporated with a renewed mission and vision, leading to new brand and visual identities.
Starting today, InLife Health Care reverts to its original name, iCare.
iCare members can be assured of continuing to enjoy all benefits and privileges under their current health care agreements, accompanied by an expanded array and elevated standard of health care services. The new brand and visual identities have been incorporated in the iCare mobile app, paving the way for technology-driven initiatives to champion the promise of better health status for partners and members.
iCare’s unwavering commitment to innovation remains steadfast as we pursue our renewed mission “to enable Filipinos to have better health.”
