Japan’s new envoy ENDO Kazuya presented his Letters of Credence to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of the Philippines at Malacanang Palace on April 4, 2024.

This serves as the official function of Ambassador Endo Kazuya’s term of office.

In the ceremony, Ambassador Endo expressed his enthusiasm to further deepen the strategic partnership through steady progress of cooperation in a wide range of areas such as security, economy and people-to-people exchanges.



Meanwhile, President Marcos Jr. extended a warm welcome to Ambassador ENDO Kazuya and described our ties as strongest than ever. He also expressed confidence that our relationship will be elevated to greater heights with close cooperation under the leadership of Ambassador Endo.

Following ceremony, Ambassador ENDO Kazuya made his way to Rizal Park, where he participated in a wreath-laying ceremony in honor of Dr. Jose Rizal, the national hero of the Philippines.
