The Korean Government’s support for the Philippines continues as the Korean Coast Guard (KCG) was sent to closely work with the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) in assisting clean-up efforts in Mindoro’s oil spill-affected waters.
To further support the Philippine Government, Korea will also be providing:
(1) 20 tons of sorbet pads and snares
(2) 1,000 meters of solid flotation curtain boom
(3) 2,000 sets of personal protective equipment (PPE)
This is the first time Korea has assisted in preventing marine pollution, and Korea highly values the importance of restoring areas affected by environmental disasters and accidents.
