It’s undeniable that the close relationship between the Philippines and the United Kingdom has provided more opportunities for the Philippines in terms of trade and investment, among others.

In its desire to sustain this momentum and widen the opportunities for mutual benefits and a deeper understanding of the opportunities, the British Chamber of Commerce Philippines brings back the match anticipated Great British Festival this coming March 25 and 26, to celebrate trade and investment opportunities in Bonifacio High Street, BGC, Taguig City.

As this will highlight the British companies and products here in the Philippines, various performances are to be expected by festival goers. Several booths will be opened to the public for FREE – highlighting UK’s very own creativity, innovation, education and heritage

This event will be in partnership with British Embassy in Manila and the British Council. There has also been growth in trade exports between the Philippines and the UK. In fact, exports from the UK to the Philippines reached over 2.1 billion pounds in 2022. British pork exports to the Philippines have significantly increased.

Last year, two meat trade missions were hosted by the British Chamber along with Agriculture Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) – in May and December. Various meat companies’ importers, distributors, and stakeholders attended the aforementioned event. The recent event held was represented by Senior Export Manager Susan Stewart

In relation to this, the Philippines is the second-largest market for British meat in Asia after China. Likewise, the Chamber applauds the extension of the lowered tariffs on meat.

Along with sorts of entertainment in the upcoming festival, the British Chamber looks forward to allowing more investment flow in various sectors by unlocking new opportunities for UK companies and SMEs. The Great British Festival will also be a platform for other investments in the country, particularly with networking and connecting businesses.
