With just a few days away from 2023, Filipinos seeking job opportunities in the UK will be welcomed by this good news.
No less than British Chamber of Commerce Philippines’ Executive Director and Trustee Chris Nelson expressed his full support towards having more job opportunities for Filipino workers in the UK for next year.
In his TV interview, Nelson bared that there will be a demand for more jobs in the UK.
“The UK will always need skilled workers, and the Philippines is a great talent base — as we know,” stated Nelson.
He also mentioned that Filipinos excel in various job sectors such as the healthcare system, which he then gave emphasis to the Filipino nurse who administered the first COVID-19 injection in the UK.
Aside from more job opportunities, the British Chamber hopes for a more prosperous year in 2023 with the easing of doing business and establishing long-term opportunities in the UK and Philippines.
Last Monday, Nelson also lauded the extension of the lowering of tariff for imported meats which was approved by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr, which he said will not only provide a win-win solution to the looming food security, but also business opportunities for the Filipino companies doing trading.
