Globe, the country’s leading telco and digital solutions platform, has consistently upheld the highest standards of good corporate governance, aligned with its goal of ensuring sound business all throughout its value and supply chains.
This is evidenced by consistent international recognition, most recently from the ASEAN Corporate Governance Scorecard Awards, which cited Globe’s adherence to international best practices on corporate governance. Globe was also named among Top 3 Philippine Publicly-Listed Companies, ASEAN Top 20 and the ASEAN Asset Class for industry-leading governance standards and practices.
“Globe is at the forefront of the industry in corporate governance practices. This is at the core of our business as we endeavor every day to do business the right way while we advocate and exemplify transparency, integrity, accountability and fairness across all aspects of our business,” said Rizza Maniego-Eala, Globe’s Chief Finance Officer.
“International standards in corporate governance are deeply embedded in Globe and practiced across the board, from the Board of Directors and top management, to its employees in each and every Globe office across the country,” Eala added.
Globe follows a comprehensive Manual of Corporate Governance (MCG) and Code of Conduct which govern how it conducts business, with stringent policies against insider trading and corruption, dealing in securities, conflict of interest, environmental sustainability, health and safety, and how it deals with suppliers and vendors, among others.
As part of the latter, Globe considers suppliers and vendors as business partners, without whom business will not prosper.
In line with this, Globe ensures that its procurement is always above board and in compliance with equal and fair treatment policies. Globe also maintains an open channel where vendors may air concerns, including the Vendor Management platform and the Globe Whistleblower Network.
The company also recognizes its vendors annually through the Globe Business Partners Appreciation event, where leaders across several categories are given awards.
“It is our goal to live out our purpose which is to treat people right to create a Globe of Good. We will never waiver in this commitment even as we expand our business towards providing innovative and industry-leading digital solutions that address the day-to-day pain points of Filipinos,” Eala said.
Globe is a publicly-listed company in the Philippines, following the highest performance standards and adhering to ethical guidelines, thus creating sustainable value for its shareholders, stakeholders and the nation.
