Shopee highlights Filipino entrepreneurs this upcoming 12.12 #TatakPinoy: Shopee Celebrates Local by featuring Filipino products from home decor, food, toys and many more. From today up to December 15, Shopee will spotlight local sellers from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao and showcase their popular products in time for the 12.12 Mega Pamasko Sale

  1. Paula Tabije, Owner of ABUBOT_PH

When Paula lost her job back in 2018, she needed to find a new way to generate income. She tapped into the market of teens and young adults, and started selling ready-to-wear clothing on Shopee locally made in Taytay, Rizal. From her humble beginning of running operations in a 20 sqm room, she has now been able to open up a warehouse and purchase several properties for her family.

    Raven discovered her passion in entrepreneurship at a young age, when she was selling stickers and other items to her classmates. She set up her shop on Shopee in 2014, where she sells children’s toys. Today, she has her own staff to help her run her business as she continues to grow her business on Shopee. For Erwin and his wife, their customers have always been at the heart of what they do. Far Eastern Hardware has been running their business selling wholesale construction materials in Iloilo City since the 1950s, and has become the go-to for hardware items in their area with their physical store. When the pandemic hit, it was hard even for a legacy business such as theirs that’s been operating for more than half a century.  Since they started their online business, they have been able to grow more and get buyers from all over the country with Shopee. 

  1. Jenna Indigado, Owner of Small Wonders Page

Jenna decided to become a full-time Shopee seller in 2018 when their farm was hit with African Swine Fever, and she needed to find a stable source of income. As a mother of three, she wanted to reach fellow parents and started selling baby’s essentials and clothing. Today, her online business continues to grow with the help of her staff of 200 seamstresses and 70 packing assistants – and they proudly sell Bulacan-made products, created by the people in the local community. 

  1. 98K Curtain Mall

Knowing how much Filipinos value their families, 98K set up shop on Shopee to provide products for the Filipino home and kitchen. What helped them achieve success was how they focused on treating their customers like family–quickly addressing their needs and even rewarding their loyal customers. With their business, they were able to give back and provide livelihood to members of their local community.

  1. Maria Sheena Campaner-Kweon, Owner of yourDailyDose

Bacolod-based entrepreneur and pharmacist Maria Sheena Campaner-Kweon started her Shopee journey in 2019 when she was on the brink of bankruptcy. With limited sales at first, Maria and her team at yourDaily Dose persisted and utilized their earnings to invest in Shopee’s ads and programs. From barely making ends meet, she now has her a larger warehouse in Bacolod City to cater to her growing customer base. She is very thankful to Shopee and her store’s loyal customers as she is able to give livelihood and support to members of her local community in Bacolod. 

  1. Jeh Embate, Owner of JRE Beauty & Apparel Shop

As a sales and marketing professional for 22 years, Jeh Embate explored selling on Shopee and it turned out to be a huge success as his products and shop grew tremendously in just a few days. Today, Jeh has resigned from his corporate job, and has focused full-time on being a Shopee seller as he continues to find success on the platform.
