CyberQ Group provides valuable tips to deter lurking cyber threats
In a recently concluded webinar with the CyberQ Group, the British Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (BCCP) tackles cyber threats and their implications for both small and large businesses.
Gary Kinsley, Director of Channels for CyberQ Group, discussed in detail how cybersecurity remains an important aspect in businesses as it protects all categories of data from theft and damage. Gary presented case studies that shows significant developments in cybersecurity but also shared the threats that goes along with it. He shared key strategies in mitigating these risks and how businesses can detect vulnerabilities and create a more secure system.
To give more light in to the subject, Chris Woods, Founder of CyberQ Group and Roberto Tayag, Chief Executive Officer for APAC of CyberQ Group, joined Gary in the panel discussion moderated by BCCP Executive Director/Trustee Chris Nelson. “An organization needs to take a step back and say I need to look at my cyber security organization because prevention is better than cure.” said Chris Woods when asked where do business begin their cybersecurity journey. Roberto shared that making your business cyber secure not only minimizes data breaches but also minimizes financial risks which remain vital as the business continues to recover in light of the pandemic. The panelists also mentioned how these significant strides in cybersecurity is beneficial to the Philippines, especially as we continue to promote the country as an investment destination.
