They are from various industries and I hope the new administration will seize these opportunities and continue their program to bring in more investors to your country.”

“One trade opportunity is the meat from Poland. To the credit of the new administration, they understand the dynamics of the trade issue, especially on the importation of pork. Right now, the Polish government submitted a position paper to get the regulation accepted,” he said.

“Another thing is we have the medical database and we have a few Polish companies coming here with some medical devices because technology like this s very valuable in the health sector. At the same time, I’m also working on the WORLDBEX and there will be a few Polish companies with construction technologies to offer,” Wasiewski said.

“Today I have a meeting with a Polish cosmetic company because we are doing a cosmetic trade mission in November which is awesome because Filipino women are beautiful and sophisticated and they will really love Polish cosmetics. There will be around 10 or 11 companies coming here for a few days, spending time visiting shops and talking to others about the business such as distributorship. We will probably do a showcase of Polish cosmetics,” he added.

“I got a call from them yesterday and they said that they want to be in the Philippines. So they will be part of the trade event in November but they want to come earlier and they want to start designing a strategy. I’m looking forward to it because they promised already that they will do some nice marketing activities,” he said.

According to Head of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency in Manila is also considering organize an event, not just about Polish food but also incorporating and introducing some Polish cosmetics companies since they are already scheduled to come to the Philippines.

“We can do a lot more like enhanced events. So it looks like it would be really nice and I know since it’s a month away from the holiday, there will be many visitors but of course, we will make sure we observe strict health protocols,” he said.

“This is just the beginning, next year and in the years to come, we will see more opportunities for the Filipinos to seize from Polish companies and may it be the start of wonderful trade and investment relationship between Philippines and Poland,” Wasiewski.
