The long wait is over as Motor Image Pilipinas Inc., the authorized distributor for Subaru in the Philippines, boasted their All-New Subaru Forester during the launch held last January 24 at Solaire Resort & Casino in Pasay City which was graced by Mr. Glenn Tan, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director, Tan Chong International Ltd.
Prior to the formal launching, the media conference was held that gave those who are covering the opportunity to ask questions about the All-New Forester and their partnership the renowned Motul, the exclusive engine oil of Subaru.
What makes the all-new Forrester exciting to drive is that it has been reengineered and redesigned optimizing all technological advances that Subaru is known for and this includes upgraded features that would surely define the big leap from the previous ones.
During the intimate meeting with the media, Glenn Tan, the Deputy Chairman and Managing Director, Tan Chong International Ltd. expressed his excitement as the all new Forester is now in the Philippines which is perfect for all the family and confident that it will remain the most popular SUVs sold in the Philippines.
“The All-New Forester is now bigger and better, both inside and out. This is the first Forester which integrates all of Subaru’s four proprietary technologies which means a safer, more comfortable and enjoyable driving experience for drivers and passengers”, said Tan, who flew all the way from Singapore to grace the launch.
Brandishing the prowess of the technology that Subaru is known for, the all new Forester is built on the new Subaru Global Platform and introduced the EyeSight Driver Assist Technology. The EyeSight technology has helped drivers with a safer drive in both traffic jams along Edsa and also for long distance highway driving. Both are key components of the four Subaru Core Technologies, which include Subaru’s iconic Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and Boxer Engine. The new Forester also has a Special X-Mode function, which makes it easier to handle the vehicle in a more challenging road condition or terrain like when there is flood or mud.
Meanwhile, in the interview of The Philippine Business and News with Gerry Hernandez, Motor Image Managing General Manager he pointed out that the Subaru has become a preferred SUV brand in the Philippines based on sales. And in Asia, the sales of Philippines is a strong third following Taiwan being the first and Malaysia, second.
“We will continue to expand the market by offering dealership opportunities in the key market we initially identified, because the demand is there and we will make sure we meet the demand of our clients”, the General Manager of Motor Image Pilipinas Inc., the authorized distributor for Subaru in the Philippines.
Currently, we have 19 dealers which are strategically positioned in the key provincial cities in the Philippines. We are very confident that the expansion would go through Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao to be able to accommodate other markets that have not been served yet.
