As the show of might and power between Filipino boxing legend Manny “PACMAN” Pacquiao and American challenger Adrien Broner in the WBA welterweight title is just few hours away, Pacquiao becomes the favorite pick with 3-to-1 versus his opponent.

While many boxing analysts are also concerned with Pacquiao whether he could cope up with the 12 years younger and powerful Broner, the challenger according to those who choose the People’s Champ over the nasty Broner needs to prove that he is truly a worthy challenger of Pacquiao.

The People’s Champ who garnered a total of 70 fights in his boxing career for 20 years remains to be the only eight-division world champion in the history of the sport, having won multiple major world titles, as well as being the first boxer to win the lineal championship in five different weight divisions.

What is there to prove for the Pambansang Kamao?

At the age of 40 years old, many are still wondering what does Pacman needs to prove.

Back in 2012, Pacquiao lost to Juan Manuel Marquez when he was knocked out and left unconscious for a few minutes which worried his fans and family especially his mother, Mommy Dionisia and many asked him to stop fighting,

Currently, Pacquiao has a good life, happy family, Pastor, flourishing career in politics by being a senator in the Philippines, billionaire and for many people who are not in his “inner circle” , the greatest pound for pound boxers of all time who gave honor to the country has  nothing left to prove. Needless to say, he even has little left to gain knowing that the fight might even affect his health like all boxers suffered.

But for Pacman, “the strong desire and hunger to win  is still there”.

Nothing has changed and he doesn’t feel lethargic. Pacquiao he wants to work, to exercise, to play basketball and many more. He has savings and yet others speculate, he is fighting for his bank account or is he fighting for his country?

But Manny Pacquiao made it clear and he even said, “People do not understand what’s inside me” and he said, “I want to keep on punching.”

Last July 2018, Pacquiao proved his worth as capable and powerful boxer when he brought down the Argentine defending champion Lucas Matthysse with a seventh-round knockout to snatch the W.B.A. Welterweight title.

While Pacquiao is the top favorite pick in the WBA fight against Brone, it is still anybody’s game. But the question remains, will Pacquiao continue to fight after this?
