Asia CEO Events gears up for another inspiring event, ‘Asia Women’s Forum 2022’

There is no denying that women have been playing key roles in various industries across the world, and even in the Philippines this has been very evident as a lot of companies and even entrepreneurs are now being led by women.

On January 27, 2022, outstanding and inspiring women across the world will convene in Asia Women’s Forum 2022, from 10:30AM to 12:00 noon and to be broadcasted live at ASIA CEO FORUM Facebook Page.

They are going to share their stories about how they successfully dealt with the challenges they encountered in both life and career which will certainly make anyone will value, appreciate, and be inspired by their journey in life.

The Asia Women’s Forum 2022 is presented by Bio-Oil and InLife, with Major Sponsors Chalkboard, IBEX Global and Kyani.  This year’s there is “Teach a woman to fish and she’ll feed the world.” 

The roster of Women Speakers come from various industries that will certainly provide valuable insight not only to the women but across all genders.

Nina Aguas, Executive Chairman of Insular Life leads the country’s largest Filipino-owned life insurance company. She is a senior business leader with a strong track record spanning over 30 years across retail and private banking. She has managed global, regional and country level businesses and operations in large international companies across both developed and emerging markets in the Asia-Pacific and the US.

While Ruth Cabal, News Anchor/Journalist of CNN Philippines, anchors CNN Philippines’ daily newscast Newsroom Ngayon, the local version of CNN International’s Newsroom with live interviews and annotations for breaking news. As Senior Correspondent, she specializes in political stories, investigative features and special reports. Ruth is also a lecturer at Polytechnic University of the Philippines in Broadcast Journalism, News Writing and Ethical and Legal Issues in Mass Media.

Celebrity Showhost Pamela Pilapil aka “Wildheart” is a high profile member of the 200,000+ member Singapore Filipino expatriate community. She has won many awards for her work helping Filipinos: “Outstanding OFWs Awarding #Be The Inspiration,” “Bagong Bayani Modern-Day Hero Par Excellence Award,” “Outstanding Filipino in Singapore,” on and on. She was chosen by Singapore Tourism Board as host for Uniquely Singapore Shows in India, China, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore. Pamela was Celebrity Showhost for major pageants like Miss World Singapore, Miss Earth Singapore, etc, and senior executive for Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, Jurong BirdPark.

Gemma Gaerlan, Vice President of TOA Global oversees operations at the world’s largest accounting outsourcing provider to accounting, bookkeeping and CPA firms. She previously played key roles at a number of global organizations including Ernst & Young, AIG, Xerox, IBM and Accenture.

Advocate Jenica Dizon Country Director of Waves For Water Philippines has become known as a national advocate for clean water access. Colleen Ritchie, Senior Vice President of TTEC is a global leader with one of the world’s most respected publicly-traded business process outsource providers, employing upwards of 60,000 people around the world. Colleen oversees key functions like workforce management, compliance and standards, business intelligence, facilities management, site selection and construction, and global project management.

Kristine Encio-Brown Co-Founder & CEO of Chalkboard began her career as an accountant with SGV and later with State Street Fidelity Investments in Boston. She founded Chalkboard as the first end-to-end online learning solution that connects students to teachers. The company aims to be the preferred venue for Filipino K-12 learners and college students in their quest for learning.

Tonichi Achurra-Parekh, Nearsol Country Manager & Vice President for APAC Regional oversees the Asia Pacific region for her global company based in the US. She sits on the board of the Contact Center Association of the Philippines (CCAP) whose members represent 80% of call center seats in the country. Tonichi has 20+ years in senior roles with premier global companies like Telus, Voxpro, Teletech, Startek, Citibank, etc.

Leonor Briones, Secretary of Department of Education was previously Chair of the Board of Trustees of Silliman University, and Regent of the Universidad de Manila. Before her current posting as Secretary of Education, she was Secretary of the Commission of Audit and served as the Treasurer of the Philippines. Leonor Briones became Lead Convenor of Social Watch Philippines and reported to the United Nations on social development issues. She was recognized as Lifetime Contributor for Asia CEO Awards 2021.

Naina Batra is the CEO Asian Venture Philanthropy Network oversees a large organization that is a force for good. She works with large corporations and philanthropic organizations such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in their high impact giving programs. Naina was awarded one of Asia’s Top Sustainability Superwomen by CSRWorks.

Kate Bellosillo, the General Manager of Kyani Philippines received the Asean Women Entrepreneurs Network Award in 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand. In 2021, she received the Global Woman Corporate Leader Award from the Global Woman Club in the United Kingdom. Her story “Rising with Grit and Grace, From Mother of 8 to CEO” is part of the Global Woman book WOMEN IN THE MODERN BUSINESS WORLD, now an Amazon bestseller. She is also a writer, speaker, humanitarian and a mother of 8.

Professor Doreen Benavidez of Asian Seminary of Christian Ministries, is leading a tribal ministry with the Mangyan Tribes in Occidental Mindoro. She is also a Ph.D. student in New Testament Studies at the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies in Oxford, UK. She is a full-time professor at the Asian Seminary of Christian Ministries.

Last but not the least, Julie Casteel Chief Strategic Accounts Officer & CMO of ibex is responsible for directing strategy for many of the world’s most important companies. She is considered one of the most connected leaders of the global BPO sector. She previously served as Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing at Sitel, another premier global provider. Julie has served on a number of industry boards, has been published in The Economist, The Wall Street Journal and many others.

Meanwhile, Asia CEO Rebecca Bustamante, whose story is also inspiring and got the monicker of “Self-Made” underscored that this year, and in the coming years, the Asia CEO Forum and Asia CEO Events will go global by marketing the Philippines to the world and collaborate with other global partners.
