Italian Chamber of Commerce PH celebrates 10th Anniversary, recognizes 5 business leaders

The Italian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines held its 10th Anniversary event on Zoom last Friday, November 26, 2021. Sponsored by Smart Communications and moderated by the Chamber’s Vice President Mr. Lorens Ziller, the celebration highlighted the path of success of the 10 years of service of ICCPI. 

The event saw the opening remarks from the Chamber’s President, Mr. Sergio Boero, followed by a special message from the Italian Ambassador in the Philippines, Hon. Marco Clemente. Further discussing the Chamber’s aid to the Philippines’ economic growth, the audience were treated to special messages and insights coming from Mr. Maurizio Celini (EU Delegation of the Philippines), Secretary Ramon Lopez (Department of Trade and Industry), Secretary Sonny Dominguez (Department of Finance), Governor Benjamin Diokno (Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas), and additional updates from Mr. Lorenzo Tavazzi (European House of Ambrosetti).

The 10th Anniversary event also conducted its first Special Leadership Award, sponsored by Airasia and presented by Atty. Anthony Abad of Abad, Alcantara, and Associates, as well as Director General Rowel Barba of the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines. The awarding session aimed to give recognition to 5 business leaders who have demonstrated exceptional leadership skills in their respective fields and companies. ICCPI awarded the Outstanding Business Leader award to Romolo Nati from Italpinas Development Co., while Mr. Roberto Fazzini of Italfoods Distribution Inc. nabbed the Exceptional Entrepreneurship Award. Also recognized with an award: Mr. Luca Galli of Moet Hennessy Philippines for the Italian Executive of the Year Award, Ms. Valentina Incognito of KMC Solutions for the Woman in Business of the Year Award, and finally Ms. Jill Santos-Cua of JSC & Co. for the ItalPinay of the Year award.

At the end of the event, special guests and attendees were also given a preview of the activities organized by the Italian Chamber for 2022, which aims to bring more European and local companies together for future collaborations and events. The Italian Chamber of Commerce hopes to stage the next Special Leadership Awards 2022 as a physical event which would definitely be more satisfying both for the organisers and the guests.
