Knowing the importance of having a healthy and safe team doing essential service, Everise, a technology-enabled outsourcing firm gears up to roll out its free coronavirus vaccinations for all of its more than 3,000 employees in the Philippines and the company is to bear the cost of the vaccines.
According to a statement released by the Department of Trade and Industry recently, workers in the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry are now part of the A4 priority category in the Philippines for the COVID-19 immunization program.
“Everise is a people-first company. Our employee well-being is our first priority. From mental health counseling to virtual yoga, we continuously invest in new ways to ensure our people are cared for. We are delighted that all of our staff in the Philippines will have access to the vaccine at no cost to themselves, if they choose to take it,” said Chief People Officer, Sheena Ponnappan.
Awarded HR Asia’s Best Place to Work Award 2 years in a row, Everise Philippines is the only BPO to have achieved this accolade.
To date, over 8 million COVID-19 vaccination doses have been administered in the Philippines. Everise has purchased almost 6,000 doses and plans to vaccinate all employees over the coming months.
